Jones Youth Prodigy 2026

The 2026 Jones Youth Prodigy gives young shredders what they really need in a snowboard and has been constructed with the same materials and care as adult snowboards, but fun sized! The progression fuelled design will get your grom riding as well, if not better, than you with its directional twin shape and a playful flex, perfect for freestyle riding. They can do it all with this board; ride rails, carve groomers, hit jumps, and even ride the backcountry. Camber underfoot gives stability and pop, while rocker and 3D Contouring at the nose and tail makes for smooth, catch free turns and extra float in the snow. Keep an eye out, Prodigy status will soon be unlocked with this board!

Board Type: All Mountain

All Mountain snowboards are versatile boards that excel across various terrains, from groomed runs to off-piste. These boards offer solid edge control and responsiveness, making them a great option for riders who want one board to do just about everything.

Flex: 4/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)

Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding.

Ability Level: Beginner

A beginner snowboard is softer, lighter, and more stable, making it easier to control and manoeuvre while learning basic skills like turning and stopping.

Shape: Directional Twin with Low 3D Contour Base

A directional twin snowboard has a symmetrical shape but with a slightly shifted stance, making it ideal for riders who want the versatility of a twin for freestyle, with the added stability of a directional design. It performs well both regular and switch but excels in one direction, offering improved control on varied terrain.

Camber Type: CamRock

Jones' CamRock profile blends camber in between the bindings and rocker in the tip and tail. This profile enhances freestyle riding by being more playful while still having the pop, power, and response of camber.

Width: Standard

Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes.

Inserts: 2x4 Inserts

These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk.

Core: Master Core

The Master Core is made of 1:1 Poplar to Paulownia ratio in alternating stringers to create a lightweight, poppy, and durable core.

Sidewall: Recycled ABS Sidewalls

Jones makes their sidewalls out of a recycled ABS material with a round finish. This increases durability by deflecting impact away from the sidewall preventing chipping and cracks.

Edge: Recycled Edges

Made of recycled German steel, these bombproof edges are made to be the strongest and longest lasting on the market.

Base: Extruded 5000 Base

Extruded base material is durable and easy to repair while staying fast. It offers consistent performance without the hassle of maintenance.
